Terms and conditions for using Tashkheesa services.

1. About Tashkheesa

Tashkheesa is a telemedicine platform that connects patients with consultant-level specialists for written second opinions on medical imaging and lab results. Our service is operated by MedTec, part of Shifa Hospital Group, Egypt.

Tashkheesa is not an emergency service. We do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Our reports are second opinions intended to supplement — not replace — your primary healthcare provider's advice. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept this.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Tashkheesa independently. Individuals under 18 may use our services only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

You must provide accurate and truthful personal and medical information. Each person may hold only one Tashkheesa account. Duplicate or shared accounts may be suspended.

3. Services

Tashkheesa offers written second opinion reports across 4 medical specialties. All reports are prepared by licensed physicians affiliated with Shifa Hospital Group.

Standard turnaround time is 48 hours from payment confirmation. VIP delivery (18 hours) and Urgent delivery (4 hours) are available at additional cost where offered. Turnaround time begins when your payment is confirmed and all required medical files have been uploaded.

4. Payments

Service prices are displayed in EGP, USD, GBP, or AED depending on your region and selected currency. All payments are processed securely through Paymob.

Full refund if you cancel before a specialist is assigned. If an assigned specialist misses the turnaround you chose (Urgent 4h, VIP 18h, Standard 48h), your urgency surcharge is refunded. Standard has no surcharge, so there's nothing extra to refund — your case stays in active review until your written opinion is delivered, and you can still request a refund review.

5. Medical Disclaimer

Tashkheesa provides second opinions only. Our reports do not constitute a medical diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a prescription. You should discuss any Tashkheesa report with your treating physician before making clinical decisions.

In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Tashkheesa for urgent medical needs.

Tashkheesa and its affiliated doctors are not liable for clinical decisions made by you or your healthcare provider based on our reports.

6. Intellectual Property

The Tashkheesa brand, logo, platform design, and all original content are the property of Tashkheesa and may not be reproduced without permission.

Medical reports delivered to you are provided for your personal use only. You may share them with your treating physician. You may not redistribute, publish, or commercialise reports without written consent from Tashkheesa.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, submit fraudulent information, or misuse the platform in any way.

You may delete your account at any time from within the mobile app or by contacting our support team. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our service depends on the information and medical files you provide. The accuracy and completeness of your submissions are your responsibility. Incomplete or poor-quality files may affect the quality of the specialist's review.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.
